摘要
我们探究区块链技术的起源，以更好地理解其所应对的持久需求。我们识别了区块链的五个关键要素，展示了这些要素的具体实现，并考察这些要素如何结合以在选定系统中产生重要属性。为便于比较区块链的诸多变体，我们还描述了所有区块链共有的区块链参与者的四个关键角色。我们的历史探究凸显了 David Chaum 在 1979 年的工作，其 vault 系统体现了区块链的许多要素。
