在最近的一篇论文（Kovacs 2018）中，我们利用 Kepler K2 任务第 01-04 观测周期的数据研究了调制 RR Lyrae 恒星的出现率。我们发现观测率约为 90%，在针对观测噪声造成的探测偏差进行修正后，意味着潜在率接近 100%。在这项工作中，我们将样本扩展至第 08 观测周期，并检验我们早期估计的可靠性。我们得到同样的高出现率，强调了在全时间序列建模（包括系统误差）中，于大振幅变率存在下搜寻浅信号的重要性。
