重力恢复与气候实验(GRACE)Follow-On 任务上的激光测距干涉仪(LRI)提供了远程航天器之间首次激光干涉测距,二者相距约 220 km。将激光频率锁定到腔参考并在远程航天器间建立 5 自由度双向激光链路的自主控制首次尝试即获成功。基于差分波前传感的有源光束指向补偿了航天器姿态波动。LRI 已连续运行超过 50 天且无相位跟踪中断,并显示出与基于微波的主测距仪器类似的偏置测距,但在 100 mHz 以上傅里叶频率处噪声水平为 而低得多。
