年老疏散星团:伯克利21的有趣案例

摘要
我们给出了年老疏散星团伯克利21的CCD BVI测光数据,它是银河系反中心方向上最遥远的星团之一,也可能是疏散星团样本中金属丰度最低的天体。其位置和金属丰度使其对银河系盘的研究非常重要。利用合成颜色-星等图方法,我们估算了距离模数(m-M)0=13.4-13.6、红化E(B-V)=0.74-0.78(可能存在差分吸收)以及年龄=2.2-2.5 Gyr。
