离壳:NuTeV实验的电弱物理

摘要

NuTeV合作组在高强度、高能中微子和反中微子束流下,对致密(主要为钢)靶上的中性流与带电电流截面之比进行了精确测量。分离的中微子和反中微子束、高统计量以及对其他实验系统误差的改进控制,使得电弱参数的确定精度显著高于以往的中微子-核子散射实验。我们对标准模型预测的零假设检验测得sin²θW=0.2277±0.0013(统计)±0.0009(系统),该值比预测值高3个标准差。我们讨论了这一差异的可能解释及其影响。
