我们在1995年8月至10月高吸积状态下，对UU Aquarii进行了14个夜晚的中分辨率（1-2Å）光谱观测。UU Aqr被认为是SW Sextantis星，正如Baptista等人于1996年所指出的那样，我们讨论其在SW Sex现象背景下的光谱行为。发射线等效宽度曲线、多普勒断层成像以及线轮廓模拟均提供了证据表明，在吸积流与盘边缘的冲击点处存在一个明亮斑点，盘中存在非轴对称的、垂直和方位上扩展的吸收结构。该吸收在轨道相位0.8附近的发射线中呈现最大深度，但从φ≈0.4到φ≈0.95均存在。我们探讨了该吸收结构（以及UU Aqr的其他光谱行为）的起源，具体涉及吸积流与盘碰撞的爆发性冲击。
