当细长的玻色-爱因斯坦凝聚体被沿其长轴反向传播的两束非干涉光束泵浦时,观察到新的集体光散射现象。在小瑞利散射速率极限下,第二束泵浦光的存在抑制了超辐射,而在大瑞利散射速率下,它降低了集体光散射的有效阈值功率。在后一种情况下,双束系统的猝灭动力学是振荡的,而单束情况则是单调的。此外,还探索了对功率、失谐和原子数的依赖性。双束系统观测到的特征与最近预测的大瑞利散射速率下光和物质的超固体晶相定性一致[S. Ostermann, F. Piazza, and H. Ritsch, Phys. Rev. X 6, 021026 (2016).]
