太阳日冕中磁开关结构的观测

摘要

开关结构(switchbacks)是太阳风磁场的突然、大幅径向偏转,由 Parker Solar Probe 在行星际空间中广泛揭示。尽管候选机制包括 Alfvén 湍流、剪切驱动的 Kelvin-Helmholtz 不稳定性、交换重联以及与 Parker 螺旋相关的几何效应,开关结构的形成机制与源区仍悬而未决。本快报报道了 Solar Orbiter 上 Metis 日冕仪对单个大型传播 S 形涡旋的观测,该涡旋被解释为日冕中开关结构的首个证据。它起源于一个活动区上方,相关环系以东、西两侧开放磁场区为界。观测、建模与理论为开关结构起源于交换重联提供了有力论据。Metis 测量表明,开关结构的起始也可能作为慢太阳风起源的指示。
