深非弹性散射中观察到高 E_T 孤立光子

摘要
首次使用 ZEUS 检测器在 HERA 电子-质子碰撞器中对深非弹性电子-质子散射中孤立 prompt 光子产生的截面进行了测量，积分亮度为 121 pb^-1。在虚拟交换光子的 Q^2 > 35 GeV^2 时，观察到能量为 5 < E_T^gamma < 10 GeV，快速度为 -0.7 < eta^gamma < 0.9 的孤立光子信号。给出包含性和伴随单个喷气的光子截面，喷气的能量范围为 E_T^jet \geq 6 GeV，-1.5 \leq eta^jet < 1.8。order alpha^3alpha_s 的计算对数据描述得很好。
