使用 Type Ia 超新星作为时钟观测宇宙时间膨胀

摘要

本工作基于系统性搜索高红移 Type Ia 超新星的首批结果。使用 R 波段滤波器,我们发现了七颗红移 z=0.3~0.5 的超新星,均在巅峰光度前或恰好在巅峰时被发现。Type Ia 超新星已知在第一阶近似下为同质性的超新星群,具有非常相似的光度曲线、光谱和峰值亮度。本文报告称,我们观察到的光度曲线均呈现所需的 1+z 膨胀时间延拓。小的偏差可归因于近距离超新星 (z<0.1) 所观察到的宽度-亮度相关。我们在本文中展示了宇宙时间膨胀的首次明确观测。
