山顶雷暴云高能辐射爆发的观测

摘要
在2008年9月20日的雷暴期间，日本一座海拔2770米的山顶观测站同时探测到了伽马射线和电子。这两种持续90秒的发射均与雷暴云而非闪电相关。光子能谱延伸至10 MeV，可解释为来自距离60-130米（90%置信水平）的源的轫致辐射伽马射线。观测到的电子很可能主要来自云中加速区域逃逸的初级粒子群。
