CDMS II 硅暗物质探测器中的核反冲能量标度

摘要

低温暗物质搜寻(CDMS II)实验旨在探测与半导体探测器中原子核发生弹性散射的暗物质粒子。由此产生的核反冲能量沉积由电离和声子传感器探测。中子在此类探测器中产生相似的低能核反冲能谱,而大多数其他本底产生电子反冲。核反冲的绝对能量标度是正确解释结果所必需的。CDMS II 硅探测器的能量标度可利用宽谱 252^{252}Cf 源入射的中子确定,借助硅中子弹性散射截面在反冲(中子)能量近 20(182)keV 处的显著共振。结果表明,核反冲的声子收集效率比同能量电子反冲低 4.80.9+0.74.8^{+0.7}_{-0.9}%。将核反冲的电离信号与先前其他组在更高电场下测得者比较表明,运行于 \sim4 V/cm 的 CDMS II 硅探测器对低于 20 keV 的核反冲电离收集效率与 100% 一致,并在更大能量处逐渐降至 100 keV 时的 \sim75%。这些测量对先前发表的 CDMS II 硅结果影响很小。
