ALICE实验测量$\pi^0$在OO碰撞中的核修饰效应

摘要

我们报告了ALICE实验对 $\pi^0$ 核修饰因子 $R_{OO}$ 在OO碰撞中首次的结果。对比核碰撞中强子产生与pp碰撞真空基准的修饰程度，是探测强子在热介质中能量损失的有价值手段。ALICE的 $R_{OO}$ 结果显示，OO碰撞相对于pp参考的 $\pi^0$ 产生抑制显著（最高达4 $\sigma$ ），相对于仅包含冷核物质效应的模型预测亦出现最高达2.4 $\sigma$ 的偏差。
