弹性散射中束流法向单自旋不对称性的核依赖性

摘要

我们提议测量横向极化电子从靶核(12Z9012 \le Z \le 90)弹性散射在 Q2=0.0092 GeV2Q^2 = 0.0092\ \text{GeV}^2 下的束流法向单自旋不对称性,以研究其核依赖性。基于双光子交换的理论计算预测在此运动学下无核依赖性,但杰斐逊实验室 208Pb^{208}\text{Pb} 的结果与理论预测和轻核测量均显著偏离。拟议测量将为中重核提供新数据,此前高能实验运动学下 Z20Z \ge 20 无数据。这将有助于探究当前理论模型未包含的缺失贡献。
