仅具有引力相互作用的粒子（Newtorites）在引力波棒探测器中的探测由 Bernard、De Rujula 和 Lautrup 于 1984 年研究过。暗物质搜寻的阴性结果提示我们关注像 Newtorites 这样的奇异可能性。我们将展示利用 Nautilus 棒探测器获得的限制，并讨论可能的改进。由于引力耦合非常弱，可能的限制距离暗物质所需还非常遥远，但对于大质量而言是地球上获得的最佳限制。我们将给出 MACRO 粒子限制的最新结果。
