在这篇报告中，我将简要介绍天体物理相对论中两个不同背景下正在进行的工作，即旋转星时空的研究与数值相对论中可靠提取引力波模板的问题。在这两种情况下，Weyl 标量与曲率不变量的使用都有助于厘清重要问题。
