彗星 Hale-Bopp 中中性钠: 第三种尾的发现

摘要
我们报告了关于彗星 C/1995 O1 Hale-Bopp 中中性钠气体尾的发现与分析。这一尾与已知的离子尾和尘埃尾完全不同。我们展示了该第三种尾的观测特征与其由钠原子辐射压引起的共振荧光产生的一致性，其光子离子化寿命亦符合最新的理论计算。
