利用RHIC上PHENIX探测器获得的sqrt(s_NN) = 130 GeV Au + Au相互作用数据，研究了在快度中心附近产生的粒子之间的局域净电荷涨落。根据最近的建议，此类涨落可能携带夸克胶子等离子体的信息。该分析表明，涨落主要由粒子的随机分布主导，但也对其他效应敏感，如全局电荷守恒和共振衰变。
