利用背景辐射抑制实现“沙漏”型单光子源近单位效率与光子不可区分性

摘要

在可扩展光学量子信息处理中,一个持续的挑战是将单光子源的集合效率ε\varepsilon和光子不可区分性η\eta提升至接近 unity。在基于量子点的光源中,近期有观点质疑能否将乘积εη\varepsilon \eta任意逼近 unity。本工作中,我们讨论了在存在声子诱导退相干时效率与不可区分性之间权衡的影响,并表明光子“沙漏”设计能够在此权衡下将εη\varepsilon \eta提升至超越标准微柱设计所预测的最大值。这种对权衡的规避之所以可能,归功于对自发辐射进入背景辐射模式的控制,我们的工作凸显了在未来追求量子点单光子源近单位性能时背景发射工程的重要性。
