利用 IGRINS-2 进行近红外光谱以研究全球星团中的多种星际物种

近红外(NIR)光谱的最新进展为研究全球星团(GC)中的多种星际物种提供了新的机会,尤其对于新近发现的位于银河内侧的星团。虽然光谱学传统上在详细的化学丰度研究中发挥着主要作用,但日益增多的高度掩蔽环境中银河系内星团的发现凸显了对稳健 NIR 光谱方法的需求。为评估高分辨率 NIR 光谱在研究多种星际物种中的实用性,我们使用 Gemini-North 望远镜上新近装机的 IGRINS-2 光谱仪对 M5 中的六颗恒星进行观测。我们的 NIR 波段化学丰度测量与来自高分辨率光谱学的测量结果良好一致,Na 和 Mg 等元素的系统偏差较小。此外,测得的化学丰度比率清晰地再现了多种星际物种的独特模式,包括 Na-O 反相关。NIR 光谱能够高精度测量 C、N、O 丰度的能力进一步增强了其研究星体和星团化学性质的潜力。我们的发现表明,IGRINS-2 及类似仪器在深化我们对星团形成、星体化学演化以及银河系演化历史的理解方面具有重要潜力。
