液态O不透明光子计数器中的μ子轨迹

摘要

液态O是一种创新的辐射探测器概念。核心思想是利用高度散射介质中的随机光约束来自我分割探测器体积。在本文中,我们在液态O不透明光子计数器原型中演示了逐事件μ子轨迹。该探测器由一个30 mm立方体光子计数器体积组成,包含64根波长移位光纤布置成8×8的网格,间距为3.2 mm,由硅光子倍增管读取。使用约0.5 mm的散射长度的蜡基不透明光子计数器。液态O探测器的跟踪性能以宇宙射线μ子为例进行表征,位置分辨率显示为每行光纤450 μm。这些结果凸显了液态O不透明光子计数器探测器实现精细空间分辨率的潜力,从而实现精确的粒子轨迹和成像。
