银河系PeVatron候选体LHAASO J2108+5157的多波段研究

摘要

LHAASO J2108+5157是近期由LHAASO合作组发现的少数几个无甚高能(VHE)对应体、未证认的超高能(UHE)伽马射线源之一。我们于2021年使用XMM-Newton在X射线波段观测了LHAASO J2108+5157,总曝光3.8小时,并使用大尺寸望远镜原型(LST-1)在TeV能段观测,获得49小时高质量数据。此外,我们分析了12年的Fermi-LAT数据,以更好地约束其高能(HE)对应体4FGL J2108.0+5155的辐射。我们在LST-1数据中发现能量E > 3 TeV处的超出(3.7 sigma)。在假设点源的前提下对LST-1全能段进一步分析,得到硬谱辐射的线索(2.2 sigma),可用0.3–100 TeV间光子指数Gamma = 1.6 ± 0.2的单幂律描述。我们在XMM-Newton数据中未发现任何可能与超新星遗迹(SNR)或脉冲星风云(PWN)相关的显著延展辐射,这对相对论电子可能的同步辐射给出了强约束。LST-1与LHAASO的观测可解释为截止能量为10030+70100^{+70}_{-30} TeV的相对论电子的逆康普顿主导轻子辐射。X射线同步辐射上限所要求的源区低磁场与PWN或TeV晕的假设相容。UHE源附近缺乏脉冲星对PWN/TeV晕图景构成挑战。UHE伽马射线也可解释为相对论质子与源方向上两个已知分子云之一相互作用产生的、π0\pi^0衰变主导的强子辐射。LST-1能段的硬谱与质子从中年SNR周围激波逃逸因其高低温截止相符。
