猎户座 M42 区域 diffuse UV 发射的 MSX 观测

摘要
我们对围绕猎户座 M42 的三个区域进行了 UV（1400 Å - 2600 Å）强烈的 diffuse 辐射观测。观测到东西方向强度为 20000 photons cm-2 s-1 sr-1 Å-1，南方强度为 8000 photons cm-2 s-1 sr-1 Å-1。检测到一种增强的辐射，可能与猎户座附近的分子云复合体（在 CO 中观测到）相关。该区域的 IRAS 100 微米辐射与 UV 强度高度相关，其 UV-IR 比为 40 photons cm-2 s-1 sr-1 Å-1 (MJy sr-1)-1。而在另外两个区域，diffuse 辐射没有结构，也没有与 IRAS 辐射相关。
