极端能量事件实验的MRPC望远镜模拟

摘要

介绍了一个基于GEMC框架的模拟工具,用于描述极端能量事件(EEE)项目的MRPC望远镜。EEE实验主要利用分布在意大利高中、研究中心和CERN的MRPC望远镜研究次级宇宙线μ子。该模拟考虑了μ子与EEE望远镜及实验装置周围结构的相互作用;它包括一个专用的事件生成器,产生真实的μ子分布,以及探测器的详细几何描述。包含了MRPC的微观行为以生成类似实验的数据。实现了一种直接从数据估计室效率的方法,并通过比较实验和模拟的μ子极角分布进行了测试。
