Virgo 星团类星云群体的更多证据

摘要
我们对 Virgo 星团核心的 50 平方度区域进行调查以搜索星际类星云，发现 11 个候选对象。这些未分辨源的测量光度与这些对象来自星际类星云群体的星系相符。我们计算了这 11 个类星云候选对象的累计亮度函数。如果我们假设它们属于 Virgo 星团，其累计亮度函数与类星云亮度函数模拟结果良好地吻合。这一比较允许我们在调查的星团核心场中估算星际恒星群体的表面质量密度。
