银河系外层云系及更远处的分子气体

摘要
本文综述了关于银河系外层云系以及大魁玛星云系中分子气体的最新观测结果。利用 ORFEUS 和 FUSE 对分子氢 (H_2) 的远紫外吸收线研究，揭示了在银河系外层云系中的中间速度云系和高速度云系中存在 diffuse 分子氢成分。虽然测量次数仍相对较少，但数据表明，外层 diffuse H_2 仅存在于含有足够量重元素和尘埃的云系中，这些云系上 H_2 形成最为高效。讨论了这些观测对我们理解银河系外层云系的意义。
