M87 是首个在 TeV 能段被探测到的非耀变体河外源。M87 的大尺度喷流未与视线对齐。尽管存在这种不对齐，为解释 H.E.S.S. 进行的伽马射线观测，似乎有必要修正标准的 TeV 耀变体辐射模型。我们提出了一种新的多团块同步自康普顿模型，该模型明确处理了从喷流形成的 MHD 模拟中推断出的大视角和中等洛伦兹因子值。
