MOBSTER:通过TESS测光旋转调制识别磁性O星候选体

摘要

磁性O星相对稀少,其性质尚未被充分理解。迄今确认者不足十二颗,因小样本统计致其全局性质推断不确定。为更好理解这些天体,有必要增加已知样本。MOBSTER合作旨在通过从凌星系外行星巡天卫星(TESS)的高精度测光中识别旋转调制,来发现磁性O、B、A星候选体。本文讨论该合作在TESS目标中探测旋转调制以识别供未来光谱偏振观测的磁性O星候选体的工作。
