原恒星核中磁场与外流的错位

摘要

我们展示了利用 CARMA 以约 2.5 角秒分辨率对 16 颗邻近低质量原恒星进行的 1.3 毫米尘埃偏振观测结果。结果表明,在约 1000 AU 尺度上的原恒星核内,磁场与原恒星的外流并未紧密对齐。相反,数据支持外流与磁场优先错位(垂直)或随机对齐的情景。如果假设外流沿星周盘的旋转轴出现,且外流未扰乱周围物质中的磁场,那么我们的结果意味着这些盘与其形成所在的核内磁场并不对齐。
