本文介绍了斯皮策河外首次巡天70微米观测的初步结果。总体而言，约90%的源的红外颜色与本地IRAS明亮红外星暴星系群的谱能量分布一致，而约10%的样本显示出与活动星系核活动一致的热红外颜色。该星系群的平均红移为z=0.2，平均总红外光度约为L(ir)= 2x10^{11} L(太阳)。
