中面气体密度与施密特定律

摘要
通过求解嵌入恒星盘中的气体盘的自洽平衡方程，计算了若干旋涡星系和低表面亮度 (LSB) 星系的等温气体层厚度及其面中面体密度 。计算中考虑了气体的自引力以及暗晕对盘厚度的影响。将所得旋涡星系的中面体密度与方位角平均的恒星形成率 (SFR) 进行比较，以验证施密特定律 SFR ~ 的可行性与普适性。
