莱曼α森林中的Mg II探测：富金属云还是LSB/矮星系？

摘要
我们报告了在朝向PKS 0454+039的视线方向上，两个莱曼α森林云中探测到Mg II吸收。这些云分别位于红移z=0.6248和z=0.9315处，同时也表现出强的Fe II吸收。我们给出了z=0.9315云的结果。log N(HI)的上限为16.5 cm^-2。基于紫外背景光电离模型，我们推断该云具有超太阳金属丰度。由晚型恒星族的光电离被排除。
