金属富集星团：其形成所致未被充分考虑的因素？

摘要
目前尚未被充分考虑但相当可信的“化学因子”可能是造成球状星系中旧金属丰富星团（MRGCs）以及其在不规则星系中对应物——年轻（中间年龄）巨型恒星团（MSCs）形成的原因。其形成大概发生在宿主星系化学演化的同一阶段，与宿主星系在相同金属浓度（Zsol/3，[Fe/H]~-0.5）附近显著增强的星际形成活动相关。该过程在巨型球状星系中很快发生，随后在质量较低的球状星系中稍晚发生，在不规则星系中则晚得多。
