摘要
超大质量黑洞（SMBH）的动力学演化可能是影响活跃星系核（AGN）观察属性的重要因素。不同类别的 AGN 可一般地关联到 SMBH 双星系统的四个演化阶段：1) 早期合并阶段；2) 宽对阶段；3) 近距离对阶段；4) 预汇聚阶段。该方案可解释 AGN 的各种属性：不同类别 AGN 之间的射电与光学亮度差异、长期与短期变率、准周期核闪、活跃 AGN 中相对论喷流的反复形成以及其显著形貌与运动学。
