B_s 质量本征态之间寿命差异的测量

摘要
我们报告了 B_s --> J/psi phi 和 B_d --> J/psi K*0 衰变的寿命和极化振幅的测量结果。通过确定具有确定 CP 的振幅随衰变时间的相对贡献，首次分别测量了 B_s 系统中重 (H) 和轻 (L) 质量本征态的寿命。利用 203 +/- 15 个 B_s 衰变事例，我们得到 tau_L = (1.05 +{0.16}/-{0.13} +/- 0.02) ps 和 tau_H = (2.07 +{0.58}/-{0.46} +/- 0.03) ps。用两个本征态衰变率的差异 DeltaGamma_s 和平均值 Gamma_s 表示，结果为 DeltaGamma_s/Gamma_s = (65 +{25}/-{33} +/- 1)%，以及 DeltaGamma_s = (0.47 +{0.19}/-{0.24} +/- 0.01) ps^-1。
