利用完整 OPERA 数据测量 TeV 大气μ子电荷比

OPERA 探测器旨在搜寻 CNGS 束流中的 νμντ\nu_{\mu} \to \nu_{\tau} 振荡,位于地下 Gran Sasso 实验室,是研究 TeV 尺度宇宙射线的理想地点。对于此处呈现的分析,该探测器被用于测量 TeV 区域的大气μ子电荷比。OPERA 在 2008 年至 2012 年间收集了电荷分离的宇宙射线数据。探测并重建了超过 300 万个大气μ子事件,其中包含约 110000 个多重μ子束。电荷比 RμNμ+/NμR_{\mu} \equiv N_{\mu^+}/N_{\mu^-} 分别针对单μ子事件和多重μ子事件进行了测量。该分析利用了 2012 年运行期间特意执行的磁极反转。结合具有相反磁极的两个数据集,使得系统不确定性最小化,并实现了μ子电荷比的精确测定。对数据进行拟合以获得关于原初宇宙射线组成及其在前向碎裂区相关 kaon 产生的相关参数。在 OPERA 研究的 1-20 TeV 表面能量范围内,RμR_{\mu} 能很好地由仅包含π介子和 kaon 对μ子通量贡献的参数模型描述,未显示出瞬时成分的显著贡献。能量无关性支持了 Feynman 标度在高达 200200 TeV/核子原初能量的碎裂区内的有效性。
