HERA上光产生过程中D*±衍射截面的测量

摘要
利用ZEUS探测器在HERA ep对撞机上,基于38 pb^-1的积分亮度,首次测量了D*±介子衍射光产生截面。测量在光子-质子质心能量范围130 < W < 280 GeV和光子虚度Q^2 < 1 GeV^2内进行。D*±介子通过衰变道D*+ --> D^0 π^+_s (D^0 --> K^-π^+) (+c.c.)重建,要求p_T(D*)>2 GeV且-1.5<η(D*)<1.5。衍射成分通过0.001<x_Pom<0.018选择。在该运动学范围内测得的衍射截面为:σ_(ep --> e'D*Xp') = 0.74 ± 0.21 (统计)^{+0.27}_{-0.18} (系统) ±0.16 (质子离解) nb (ZEUS初步结果)。测得的积分和微分截面已与理论预期进行了比较。
