摘要
渐近巨星段(AGB)的质量损失为行星星云提供了起源。这篇论文综述了若干相关方面：脉冲特性、质量损失模型形式以及时变质量损失、AGB 上的不对称性证据、双星性、ISM 相互作用以及低金属丰度下的质量损失。越来越多的证据表明 AGB 上的质量损失已经呈现不对称性，但速度场仍为球对称形式。环形结构的起源可能在于脉动不稳定性导致质量损失在世纪尺度上的变化。
