在过去 15 年中,超级计算行业一直使用大规模生产的现成组件来构建集群计算机。此类组件虽不完全适用于高性能计算 (HPC) 目的,但因其生产规模效应而成本低廉。即将到来的 exa-scale 时代改变了这一格局:exa-scale 计算机所包含的组件数量足以证明为其进行定制开发和生产是合理的。我们提出了一种新型异构处理器,配备网络控制器并专为 HPC 设计。随后,我们展示了如何将其用于企业计算市场,以保证其广泛采用,从而实现低生产成本。
