摘要
本文回顾了瑞士数学家 Marcel Grossmann (1878-1936) 的生平及其对广义相对论诞生的贡献。第一部分介绍其生平，第二部分回顾他与 Einstein 在苏黎世的合作，该合作促成了 1913 年的 Einstein-Grossmann 理论。该理论是最终广义相对论的前驱版本，具备该理论的所有要素，唯独缺少正确的引力场方程。文章详细分析了他们的合作，重点探讨了 Grossmann 在其中究竟扮演了何种角色。
