密近双星系统在原行星盘上投射阴影的成图

摘要

为了全面理解行星的形成与演化,我们需要研究行星形成的环境:星周盘。在此我们展示对 V4046 Sagittarii 的高对比度成像观测,这是一个已知拥有环双星盘的 20 Myr 年老的密近双星。我们发现了盘中由中心双星相互掩食引起的旋转阴影的存在。阴影状特征常在盘中观测到,但迄今发现的那些并非由食现象导致。我们利用由光行时引起的相位差来测量盘的耀发以及系统的几何距离。我们计算出的距离与盖亚(Gaia)任务数据发布 2(DR2)所得值非常一致,内盘环和外盘环的耀发角分别为 α=6.2±0.6\alpha = 6.2 \pm 0.6 deg 和 α=8.5±1.0\alpha = 8.5 \pm 1.0 deg。我们的技术为探索其他双星系统开辟了道路,提供了距离和耀发角(盘建模的关键参数)的独立估计。
