摘要
我们简要概述了作为 Cool Stars 17 会议一部分组织的关于 M 型矮星作为行星宿主的小组会议。该会议致力于回顾我们目前对 M 型矮星和系外行星的认识，以便为当前和未来聚焦于低质量恒星的系外行星搜寻做好准备。我们回顾了表征 M 型矮星所面临的观测和理论挑战，以及精确的基本参数对于正确表征其系外行星和理解行星形成的重要性。
