我们通过高分辨率光谱测量了异常超高速星 HE 0437-5439 的金属丰度，结果为太阳金属丰度的一半。我们确定该星的光谱型为 B2 IV-III，并推导出其有效温度 Teff = 21,500 +/- 1,000 K 和表面重力 log(g) = 3.7 +/- 0.2 (cgs)。我们还展示了 BV 测光时间序列数据，发现该星在 0.02 mag 水平上无变光现象。我们将该超高速星的星等修正为 V = 16.36 +/- 0.04 mag，色指数 B-V = -0.23 +/- 0.03 mag，证实了其早型星的性质。我们的金属丰度结果确立了 HE 0437-5439 起源于大麦哲伦云 (LMC)，并暗示该星系中某处存在一个大质量黑洞。
