YbAl3 中混合带隙的局域激发

摘要
中间价合金 YbAl3 表现出特征能 E1 ~ 50meV 的宽广磁激发，介于 Kondo 能 TK ~ 600-700K 的量级。在低温 (T < Tcoh ~ 40K) 的费米液体态下，出现一种新的磁激发，其能量 E2 ~ 33meV 位于该合金中存在的混合带隙内。我们利用对单晶样品的无穿透性中子散射显示，能量接近 E1 的散射具有预期的间隙跨越的 Q 依赖性，而能量接近 E2 的散射则独立于 Q。这表明其源于混合带隙中空间局域的激发。
