非润湿表面上弱变形液滴的行为通常使用线性模型来描述。我们表明，这些简单的图像无法解释在超疏水基底上振荡或反弹的液滴动力学测量结果。我们证明，通过对线性模型进行对数修正，可以理解先前工作中观察到的几种奇特实验现象。
