沿哈伯序列的盘状星系 bulge 中线强度及其梯度

我们报告了对 edge-on 螺旋星系 bulge 垂直轴上深层长 slit 光谱综合调查的初步结果。我们的结果表明，bulge 中的星际灰尘颗粒群是相当古老的，并且涵盖了不同金属丰度的范围。bulge 的光度加权年龄范围从集群椭圆星系的年龄到略微“年轻”（最多只有几十亿年）。它们的 α/Fe 元素比通常为超太阳值，与巨型椭圆星系中发现的一致。bulge 中的径向线强度梯度随 bulge 亮度而相关。一般而言，这些发现更符合“耗散性坍缩”模型的预测，而不是“世元演化”模型的预测。
