来自21-cm和紫外类星体吸收线的基本常数变动限制

摘要

类星体21-cm和紫外波段吸收光谱用于估算x=alpha^2 g_p mu的时间变化,其中alpha为细结构常数,g_p为质子磁阻因子,mu为电子/质子质量比。对于红移范围0.24 ~< z_abs ~< 2.04的观测,<Delta x/x>_total_weighted=(1.17+-1.01) x 10^-5。线性拟合给出d/dt{x}/x=(-1.43+-1.27) x 10^-15 yr^-1。两项先前关于alpha变化的观测结果给出强大的mu/mu=(2.31+-1.03) x 10^-5和Delta mu/mu=(1.29+-1.01) x 10^-5的限制。我们的样本是任何先前样本的8倍,首次直接估算21-cm和UV速度差异约6 km s^-1的固有值。
