光致光散射对Born-Infeld理论的约束

摘要
ATLAS近期在LHC铅-铅碰撞中对光致光散射的测量，是这一基本过程的首次直接证据。我们发现，这要求量子电动力学（QED）的非线性Born-Infeld扩展的质量标度~GeV，这是一个比先前推导出的约束强得多的限制。在标准模型的Born-Infeld扩展中，若U(1)超荷规范对称性以非线性方式实现，则相应质量标度的下限为~GeV，这进而对此类U(1) Born-Infeld理论中的磁单极子质量施加了~TeV的下限。
