摘要
拟议的锦屏中微子实验(Jinping)旨在显著改进在中国锦屏实验室对太阳中微子和地球中微子的测量——该实验室具有若干无与伦比的特征,如最厚覆盖层、最低反应堆中微子本底等,这使其成为世界上最佳的低能中微子实验室。该拟议实验将具有4千吨液体闪烁体或水基液体闪烁体的目标质量,其中fiducial质量(有效质量)为2千吨用于中微子-电子散射事件,3千吨用于逆β相互作用事件。已开展多项初始灵敏度研究,包括太阳中微子从真空到物质效应的振荡转变相、来自碳氮氧(CNO)循环的太阳中微子的发现、高金属丰度与低金属丰度假说的分辨,以及在中国主导的地壳反电子中微子中明确分离铀和钍的级联衰变。
