借助密集的地面光谱监测与空间测光监测，我们研究了两颗 γ Cas 型类似星——π Aqr 与 BZ Cru——的短时标光学变异性。两颗星均探测到低振幅（毫星等）相干测光变异性。相关信号表现出长期振幅变化，与其他 Be 星相同。然而，这些信号出现在高频处，尤其在 π Aqr 中，表明具有高阶 l 的 p 模式，这在 Be 星中颇为罕见。BZ Cru 仅呈现低水平光谱变异性而无明确周期性，π Aqr 则不然。在该星中，近 ~12/日 的主导测光频率在盘活动水平迥异的多次独立监测中得到光谱确认；光谱分析提示该模式可能为带谐型。
